Begonia maculata is a species in the genus Begonia which contains between 1545 and 1724 species and belongs to the family of the Begoniaceae (Begonia Family). Begonia maculata is evergreen.
The grey-green, simple leaves are alternate. They are lanceolate with undulate margins. The leaves have a glabrous surface. Begonia maculata produces cymes of light purplish pink flowers from April to July.
